EQUINE PARK

For the fourth year, a team of inspectors from the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society visited the Equine Park at Cornell University to inspect mares and foals from the breeding herd and several privately owned mares and foals. It was a beautiful day and the inspection proceeded without too many problems thanks to the assistance of many dedicated students and employees, visiting mare owners and handlers and visitors that all pitched in to help. All mares presented at the inspection were accepted into appropriate divisions of the mare book and five eligible foals received premium awards!

Inspector Thomas Rhinow and Holly Simensen efficiently evaluated a total of seven mares, twelve foals and one yearling. Here are some candid shots from the inspection. A special thank you goes to Dr. Natali Krekeler who handled all the mares so expertly and Nicole Bowen who organized the preparation of all the Cornell mares and foals.
