Equine Identification- Colors and Markings

White Markings on the legs

Heel
Coronet  White markings on the legs of the horse are usually described by the name of the region the marking covers. White markings on the legs often have irregular boundaries which should be described. A white marking on the lower leg of the horse usually means that the hoof color on that leg will be white. A partial white marking may result in a partially colored hoof.
