Wolfgang is the son of legendary Farn. Farn made a name for himself with many offspring excelling at international jumping events. Farn's offspring include Odin N, Black and White Design, Nimmerdor, and Olympus. Several of Farn's sons have been approved, including the famous stallion Nimmerdor.

Wolfgang's mother is the exceptionally beautiful mare Jolanda. Her father is the famous Eratosthenes xx, known for his sons: Iwan F., Hala NB, Cyrano, Horatio, Gamin B., Oscar and I.Socrates. Wolfgang's sister Zwaantje has gained multiple victories ridden by Pieter Kersten in the national 1.40m courses.

Performance
Wolfgang himself was very successful in the 1983 performance contest.  He gained 9's for jumping under saddle and for both his behavior in stables and in training.  With a 8.5 for training he became among the best in his category.  In the stallion contest he was extremely successful with rider Henk van den Broek.
